Mentorship Scheme Director
I am a first-year Bachelors of Arts student specializing in psychology, sociology and religious studies at the University of Nairobi. Full of energy and enthusiastic when it comes to giving back to the society, I am involved in a wide array of activities and projects:
At Missions of Hope, I did follow-ups to family homes, contacted parents with whom there was an immediate concern on students’ behavior, performance or unusual conduct. Afterward, I conducted Awana, which is a spiritual session where the children get to participate in bible study and storytelling and other physical exercises. I participated in home fumigation to remove bed bugs from the babadogo community. We then took students to the headquarters to see their sponsors. we received their gifts on their behalf and brought them to their parents. We also did one-on-one counseling, group counseling with them in classes and talked to girls on the importance of hygiene and sanitation in their environment.
